The Expat Diaries: Single in the City by Michele Gorman
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
(I received a copy from the author for an honest review.)
I actually read this novel over a year ago, but recently had the opportunity to read the updated version of it. There aren't major changes that were made but some additions. The same, fun storyline has not changed. This must have been fun for Michele Gorman to write. She is an American who lives in London. Hannah, the main character, is also an American, who just moved to London.
After being laid off, Hannah decides to just start new by going to London. Hannah has to start all over, having to find a job and a place to live. There are some challenges she faced such as trying to understand the words, phrases and the British accents. She made friends, dated and also got to venture out a bit. She had fun and embraced the new city she lives in.
I never been to London, and Michele did such a great job in giving the reader a view of London from a foreigner's view. She gave great details, descriptions and how the people are in that city in the eyes of someone new to their surroundings. This is such a fun read and enjoy Hannah's adventures in London!
